DAY 1
went to skul at the normal skul time ,
put my bags with huisi den went up to meet the ppl .
after tt went dwn ,
took the bags n went canteen ,
heard a tok frm mr fong n fenandiz .(correct spellin anot ar ?)
nid to do a 5 day journal -.- .
after tt ,walked around a bit .
saw my class at basket ball court havin P.E .
alvin saw mi .
hahas .
after tt took our bags n went into the bus
to go off to punggol jetty .
sat with huisi n listenin to the extra mile all the way .


reached ,saw HSS n northland .
gt our watch grpings .
my watch name was AMUNDSEN .(FYI:each grp is called a watch)
at first i wasnt reali happy .
cos rachael ,huisi n isabel was nt in my watch .
so emo-ed a bit .
went up to the ferry .
cam whore-d with huisi xP .


reached the jetty of pulau ubin(sori if i spell wongly)xP
walked a while n sat dwn at the multi-purpose hall .
something happened between HS & HSS .
some bo liao idiots nth to do ,
wanna dio dai with nic they all .
the instructors stopped them .
bt they already sae they wanna settle on fri -.-


after tt river side came (FYI:river side is at woodlands ther)
and then everything strted .
river side is a reali high skul .
cos once they come they strted cheerin lik xiao -.-
HS guides r very tempted to cheer and 'fight' back ,
bt b4 we could the instructor wanna strt briefin le -.-***
so ya .


we went to our watches ,
n had a little watch time with our instructor hyzul
he gav us a paper with an empty face n asked us to draw
our feelin dwn while he collects the valuables .

and these ppl formed AMUNDSEN .


after tt we were told to go to our store ,
fill up all the bottles with water ,tak out the tents ,ground sheets & ponchos .
after everything was done .
we went to another hall n packed our food stuff .
ther were LOADS of canned food ,instant noodles and biscuit packs .
after tt ,we played the squrriel and hunter game and a new game .
was quite fun =]
gt to noe some of the riverside ppl =]]]
den had lunch n went to change to trackpants .
after tt went back to the store n took hunners and helmet for the nxt activity .


met hyzul daddy(cos he calls us children) at the high elements ther .
learnt hw to wear the hunners n den gt seperated into grps of 4 .
mi n jia sheng left handed ,so we're in one grp with halim & jia yi
had loads fun doin the climbing n belayin n managin rope xDD
finished everything ,walked dwn the road ,sat dwn n daddy gav us a tok bout wd r the things in the 1st aid kit ,wd r the things tt we're suppose to do when we see bees ,jelly fishes ,wild boars ,hornets and when we kena injured or chased by them .


after tt went to a grass patch with a stairs with bout 5 steps ,den above it was a board with a plastic sheet with handles .
we were told to hold the handles ,den one person will fall frm the board n land on the sheet .
the 1st was june i tink .cos she's the smallest in size .
the feelin of it was reali ........
feel lik committin sucide ,
bt this is to train us to trust each other .


after tt ,daddy took out 3 pieces of BIG BIG paper ,
its show us a window ,with the words 'the windows to our souls' ,
an empty faced person ,which he told us to draw our desirable features on her(hu was named kiko) ,and another one which we drew our undersirable features on him (hu was named madee).
after tt went to ptch our tents at our campsite ,some wher near the trees .
den he told us tt the nxt day we're gng to visit an old lady tt is still livin in ubin ,
so he wants us to draw and giv some of our food to her .
we discussed for a while bt b4 we can finish ,its time for dinner .


went to somewher around the campsite .
daddy helped us to cook rice .& taught us hw to open up the cans with the jack knife n flatten them .
den taught us to cook canned curry chicken with cocktail .
it was reali yummy yummy =]]]


went to bathe .(its was already 8+)
had watch time ,wrote a little diary bout wd happened on tt day .
yaohui keep wantin to copy mine =.=
b4 bed all HS ppl(almost all) sat together and had a little cheerin competition with riverside .
it was fun !=]
cos its been a long time since i cheer until so shiok =]
after tt washed up n went to bed .
was half awakin-sleein .
cos the other watch the guys (HSS i tink)damn noisy .
ARGH !

To Serve To Strive, Not To Yield

DAY 2
woke up at 5 .
washed up n striked our tents .
we were late for 30 mins .
daddy made us to PT as punishment .
ran 3 rounds around the campsite -.-
was tired until lik crazy .
almost fainted ,den did 30 pumpin n 50 crutches(smth lik tt)


n den ate breakfast .
everyone drank the isotonic drink .
cos was reali tired .
den had high elements .(FYI:if u still dunno ,im afraid of heights)
so i didnt finish the rock climbin .
n i broke my right middle finger nail ='[[[[
fastest record was yaohui
45 sec 0.0 .
pro eh ?
den lunch .


after tt was preparation for kayaking if im nt wrong .
i paired with velda .
it was fun !=]
b4 we went dwn .
eveyone had to soak their heads into the sea and sae good afternoon sea in eng ,chi n malay .

den after we capsized we went up the shore ther near the sea .
zi xiang ,yao hui n vanessa ther lookin for jelly fish(those tt dun sting)
den found quite a few .
we went ther ,touched n carried the jelly fishes .

we had to jump frm a wooden plank bout 3m above the water .

cos its reali fun !
it somehw felt lik flyin fox .
jus tt the fox sank into the water .
hahas .
bt sadly b4 the whole watch could jump the 2nd time ,
its strted to rain .
so we all ran in ,took our stuff n cooked dinner .
cos we're suppose to move to our nxt campsite today .
due to the rain we stayed at the same place .
bt diff sleepin place .


cooked our own dinner ,
after tt all the HS ppl sat together ,
played the stupid game dorothy taught us in sec 1 .
its lik ,i hit the person beside mi ,
she cnt sae ouch or mak any sound .
the person beside her will sae ouch !
den the nxt will sae sorry .
the one after tt will hit another person .
the ppl hu said ouch or slow in action will b out of the game .
it was fun =]]]
bt painful .
cos i kena by huisi -.-###
den we cheered n sang songs together .
it stopped raining .
so we went outside n sang cheers again .
yaohui & zi xiang made up a new cheer for HS .
it was reali cool !!!
after we did the cheer the RS ppl lik a bit wanna compete with us .
so both skuls had a mini competition .
after tt daddy came .
we thot of wd to giv the old lady ,
drew a little smth to giv her .
at bout 9+ gng 10 .
went for confidence walk .
walked through a small part of the forest & a damn dark tunnel .(u can reali see nth in ther)
luckly walked with huisi =]
after tt sat near the rock wall ther .
sang a few cheers with huisi .
den went to bed ...ZZZzzzZzZzzzzZZZz

DAY 3
woke up ,washed up (luckly no PT)
den packed for land expedition today .
THE BAG PACK WAS FCUKINFLY HEAVY !
was shaking here & ther when i was carryin it luhs ~!
bt no choice ,had to take it .
if nt no one will help .cos the rest gt their own stuffs to tak .


at first yaohui led the way .
den those nt carryin bag pack were quite far behind .
we were quite fad up with them ?
cos our bags r heavy lik shit .
den they keep walkin slowly n stoppin .
walked towards the old aunty's hse .


ther were limes ,pineapples and many more fruits ther .
her hse was reali reali old .
no T.v no nth .
jus a simple rm for sleepin ,a table to put her stuff ,
one of those net-made bed on a tree for her to tak
a nap under the tree(it was reali coolin ther) & another
table infront of her for her to do stuff .
we asked her y she dun wanna move out & stay with her children in s'pore(she's 65)
she saes tt she's been livin ther for 45 yrs le .
she gt feelins for ubin ,so she wanna stay ther .
after tt daddy told us tt she saw the onli survivin cow in ubin .
it was quite unbelieveable ,bt she said she sees it almost everyday .
so .....


after a short break we cont the walk .
towards the Freshwater Quarry !
it was reali a tirin one .
cos b4 we reach ther we walked the wrong way -.-
after tt cos i reali cnt ta han the weight .
so swapped with nicole (she was carryin the sleepin bag pack)
cont'ed walkin n walkin n finally .
we see the water !!!!xDDD
everyone was sooooooo happy can .
hahas .
daddy asked us to put dwn our bags n bring our
wet water attire n change in the store .
after tt boh watches formed human chain n moved dwn the pipes ,
barrels n ropes for the raft tt we're gona build.
which made mi thot of guitar camp '07 .
the time we tied the raft to the bench .

bt this time we tied the raft on water ,
so it was quite diffcult .
mi ,velda ,vanessa n yaohui are the onli ones tt noe hw to tie the knots .
the rest helped by holdin the raft ,cos it'll b floating away .

after tt daddy arranged our seatin n off we go !
i sat at the back with jia sheng
after tt we're suppose to jump frm the barrel to the sea .
june was abit scared to jump .
bt in the end she did it !=]
CHEERS FOR JUNE !
after a little swim ,daddy asked us to swin back WITH the raft .
so we were pullin n pushin the raft all the way(bout 10m ?) back to the shore .
n we won BATTUTA !xDDD


after tt we dispatched the raft ,kept everything ,
changed back to our dry clothings & continued with the hikin .
for 3 KM .T.T .
was havin headache ,huisi fell n yaohui sprained his ankle .
he couldnt reali walk .
reached the new campsite at bout 5+ ...?
it's at the beach .
WOOHOOS !


few of us cooked dinner ,the rest pitched tents .
ate dinner ,rachael help mi massage my shoulders ,
cos it reali hurts even when she use her least energy to massage .
chatted abit here n ther .

den off to bed .

DAY 4

woke up at 5+ again .(last nite slept at 2.30+) T.T
striked tent ,moved our things to the shore ther ,
ate breakfast ,moved the kayaks n off we go !


almost gav up half way .
cos of wd happened to my kayak ,the tiredness in mi n the stupid currents .
bt still had fun durin lunch .
zi xiang kena tricked by velda
she asked him the mario thingy ,jus tt its in eng version n diff story ,
bt same logic .

when we saw the jetty ,everyone chiong-ed towards it .
hahs .
reached th shore ,washed up ,did a bit of cheerin ,pitched tents .
daddy ,jo'di n beverly(i tink) did the cookin ,
n guess wd they cooked ?
one whole pot of rice ,one whole pot of instant noodles ,
curry chicken with cocktails n cream of chicken soup =]
was a reali feasting nite .
mi ,velda n kai qi mixed the soup with rice .
n its reali very nice =]]]
after tt went to the instructor's blk to find daddy
did the journal writin ,
n daddy made dessert for us n its reali nice =]
i tink its apple with digestive biscuits n sugar .

after tt went to packed up the store .
was reali tired ,
finished packin (daddy helped us .)
went to snuggle in rachael's tents .
nic they all kpet tryin to scare us -.-
had a gd nite sleep =]


DAY 5

woke up late for 05.55a.m
punishment was cancelled ...?
cos we didnt run around the campsite .
hahas .=]
had a small game of captain's ball .
den ran towards the jetty .
daddy asked us to lie on each other's stomach .
n he said all these :

listen to the sea splashin in pulau ubin for the last time .
feel the wind blowin ,listen to each other's heart beat .
frm tml onwards ,there'll b no more Amundsen ,
no more instructor Hyzul naggin at u all n askin u all to b faster etc ,
no more words of encouragement frm each other anymore ,
all these tt happened these 5 days will jus b an illusion .

if u noe mi well enough ,these words r enough to mak mi tear for 2 days le .
n yes i did ,i cried .


went back to the shore .
many asked us wd happened .
i couldnt even speak .
cos tinkin of wd daddy said already made mi cry alot .
den walked back .
saw rachael n isabel on the way .
isabel sae she dun wanna look at mi ,
cos she scare she cry oso .
after tt ate breakfast ,n it strted to rain heavily .
was wonderin if the sky was oso touched by wd daddy said .
ok ,i noe i sound stupid .
washed up our ground sheets n packed the things nicely .


went dwn to the hall tt we r gng to depart frm .
daddytook out the windows again ,asked ask to tink bout wher we're n hw we feel bout the whole 5 days for the last time .
mi n kai qi teared a little .
cos i hate to hear things lik 'for the last time etc .'

den he gav us an envelope ,inside gt another person's journal n stuff .
he asked us to mak a promise to tt person n hold tt promise .
i gt june's .
n i promised to work hard for my O's nxt yr n SYF gold .

he promised to speak less vulgarities .

den we went for out shoppin for souveniers & took alot of photos .

i was cryin while tellin .
after tt rachael saw ,she came n asked the same thing .

so imagine tokin bout the things tt made u cry for 3 times ?


den RS reali had to go .
i went to hug pei ting n cried even more .
couldnt stop .
the tears jus came out of my eyes .
the rest of the guides saw n strted to cry too .
in the end all guides cried .
ok ,i noe it my fault .
bt i reali cnt help it .
cos im nt tt kinda tt can hide my emotions behind my face .

in the end we didnt see a single person at the jetty .
bt heard tt its cos their ppl up ther help them settle ,
dunno lar .

den lunch-ed with isabel ,pam ,jo'di ,yaohui ,zi xiang ,zhe hao ,velda n felly

den home-d ,bathed ,cried & slept at 05.55p.m

those were really precious to me .
